Visit to Mackenzie's

Due to other family obligations, we missed Mackenzie's 2nd birthday a couple weeks back, so Josh and Daddy went over to visit her and bring her birthday gift to her. Uncle Paul and Daddy watched (in horror) the Bears game (Bears VERY bad!), we played, ate, and had fun! Enjoy the photos :)

Josh and Mackenzie play dress-up. Hopefully this hasn't scarred Josh for life :)

Paul and Jodee are on top of things with all their Christmas decorations up already! Here is a very nice picture of Josh and Z sitting by the tree.

Visit to Great Grandpa and Grandma

This morning Grammie and Daddy took Josh over to visit Great Grandpa and Grandma. It was a quick (Josh had to get back home for his nap), but fun visit! Enjoy the photos!

Great Grandpa plays his harmonica for Joshua.

Daddy goes over colors with Josh - he is very good with his colors (knows blue, yellow, red, green, brown, and pink).

Happy Thanksgiving 2009!

While it is cliche, it is hard to believe that another year is drawing quickly to an end and the holiday season is upon us once again! This year, Thanksgiving started off with a yummy pancake breakfast put together by Katie. Around noon we had Grammie, Cousin Peg, Tante and Uncle, and Grandpa and Nana over for an early Thanksgiving feast - because Katie had to work an overnight shift. Josh and I also went over by Katie's Grandma's for a bit - Josh had a second turkey feast, but I was too stuffed from earlier to even think about eating again! We are truly blessed and obviously give thanks for our great family that is always there for us! Enjoy the photos!

Josh enjoys pancake breakfast.

We are thankful for our first "child", Roxy!

Josh and Roxy showing each other a little love!

The table is set, just need the food! We made special place cards made up of Katie, Josh's, and my hands.

Gobble-Gobble!

Last minute running around in the kitchen to get everything on the table!

Everyone is ready to eat!

Children's Museum

Today we went to the Dupage Children's Museum. It was our first time there, even though Josh is still pretty small, there was plenty for him to run around and do...as he gets older he will have even more fun there (there is a pretty cool bubble exhibit that Mommy and Daddy were in to, but not so much Josh yet...although we did get a few smiles from him at some of the big bubbles that were made). Any way, hope you enjoy the pictures. Also, happy early Thanksgiving to everyone!

Josh's favorite thing was this big fish sculpture thing that little plastic fish were hanging off of, he pretty much had a fish in his hands the whole time we were there.

Here's a picture of Josh behind the "fish thing".

Mommy shows Josh how to make noise (note the fish in his left hand).

This was another of Josh's favorites. He has such a good memory because no matter where we were in the museum, he remembered how to get back to this thing (it is some type of moving gear sculpture thingy). He would run up to it, look at us, and say "Wow!".

Josh had a Christmas ornament last year and this year he has another one that will be on the DG tree. Additionally, Josh's future little cousin (Shannon and Anne's baby - due in May) also gets an ornament.

Sit-and-Spin

Josh is just like Daddy! Sorry for the bad/grainy scan below, but I just re-installed Windows 7 (much better than Vista!) on my computer and haven't reinstalled my Photoshop yet, so had to use sub-par tools, but you get the idea! Enjoy!

Bears (Very) Bad, Park Much Better!

So don't get me started on the Bears...guess its time to start saying "How are the Bulls doing?"...and baseball is only three months away, let the countdown begin!!!

Josh did get a little playtime at the park though today...you have to enjoy this very warm weather before it goes away for good!

There were lots of "big" kids at the park and Josh was in awe of how fast they were moving.
